Pieper heavy-duty tractor unit for tasks in the Ruhr area
Mercedes-Benz was one of the first addresses for the heavy-haulage forwarding company Pieper when it came to special vehicles for daily special operations. The first choice was the Mercedes-Benz with the typical cubic driver’s cab and ballast platform. Pieper has a long tradition of forwarding, as the company was founded in Dortmund in 1901. Until the 1950s, Pieper grew with the tasks required to rebuild the forwarding company. The company became one of the biggest in the industry.
