Deployment for the THW rescue divers
The Technical Relief Agency had purchased the second, completely newly developed generation of the T2 from Mercedes-Benz from the outset in order to have a replacement for the previous series, which was popular with the aid organizations, between 1986 and 1996. Accordingly, the Mercedes-Benz van, which is suitable for everyday use, was used for a variety of tasks. In 1991/92, production of the T2 was relocated from Düsseldorf to the Ludwigsfelde plant. WIKING miniaturized the model of the 507 D used by rescue divers.
Chassis white, radiator grille black, body ultramarine blue. Interior anthracite gray. Rims and roof rack silver. THW lettering on the hood. THW stripes and lettering on the sides, but also white rescue diver logo. Black door handles. Blue transparent warning lights, headlights and Mercedes-Benz star at the front silvered. Indicators printed orange.
