TAMS KSM3 – Loop module for 2-rail digital systems

Integrated circuit for operation of the loop turnout, not short-circuit free but shorting precise

Principle of operation 

The KSM-3 continuously monitors the track voltage in the terminal loop and detects a short circuit occurring when a locomotive moves out into the terminal loop on or off it. Then the connections are reversed  and thus  the polarity changes in the loop. The operating point is adjusted individually by a trim pot.
