INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROTOTYPE
Although their load capacity was lower than that of the newer wagons of types Gm and Glm, Bavaria could not do without the older G-wagons. Especially when transporting lighter general cargo, e.g., the products of the extensive glass industry in the Bavarian Forest, the limited load capacity played no role. Thus, after 1912, the older wagons also received the reddish-brown paint scheme and were classified in the newly created “Regensburg” category. All the wagons with a load weight of less than 15 t were gathered here.
