Piko 96489 – Diesellok BB 60000, SNCF, Era VI, Digital sound

The PIKO model of the distinctive BB 60000 diesel locomotive accurately reproduces all the relevant details of its prototype and impresses with its exquisite paintwork and printing, separately applied grab irons and railings, sharply engraved bogie sideframes, and accurately crafted, delicate lamps. Lighting is provided by LEDs. The standard cab lighting and the direction-dependent taillights can be digitally controlled with a PluX22 decoder. A powerful five-pole motor with two precisely balanced flywheels drives all four axles, ensuring excellent running characteristics. The PIKO model also features a heavy die-cast zinc frame for high tractive effort. Easy retrofitting with sound and the largest possible speaker is facilitated by the clearly designed circuit board with a PluX22 interface. Optionally attachable dummy brake hoses and closed replacement skirts are included with the BB 60000 model. The sound version, with its factory-installed PIKO sound decoder, supports the DCC data formats with RailComPlus®, Motorola®, Selectrix®, and M4. The built-in speaker is specifically tuned to the locomotive type. Many locomotive-specific sounds, such as engine noise, horns, brake squeal, and other switchable functions, can be individually activated. Sound is also possible in analog operation – engine noise only.
