Not suitable for the use of locomotives with built-in digital decoder with automatic analog detection.
The circuit controls the shuttle train between two terminal stations . Between the two terminal stations, an additional breakpoint can be inserted in both directions in each case. On the second terminus a switch can be connected. This makes it possible to have two trains on the shuttle route alternately .
The shuttle operation is automatic. The braking of the trains in front of the terminal stations and the two breakpoints is initiated as soon as a track occupancy detectors , which is integrated in the module , announces the entrance of a train in the section concerned . The remaining steps ( brakes , Holding, start-up) is scheduled.
Regardless of automatically running commuter trains between the terminal stations ( and the stop points ) Additional events may be triggered at any time and at any places, such as
– The realization of additional stations or
– The realization of signals or
– To trigger precise events at certain points ( eg at the end of a platform ) .
To trigger the additional events, various external circuits are possible, eg manually triggered switch , couplings with reed contacts or light barriers or complex signal controllers.
The journey between the stations , the stations and the breakpoints between the stations , the stations and / or the additional events, each runs in four phases: start-up, free ride , braking and stopping . The length of the phases starting, braking and holding is set individually for each of the two terminal stations and each of the two breakpoints and common for all additional maintenance to trim pots . The settings are stored in an IC.
