In the 30s the Wismar Wagon Fabrik developed a railcar design “Hannover” – primarily used for small railways with little traffic. A total of 57 rail buses were built for use on standard and narrow gauge railways with different wheel bases. When driving only the front mounted engine with a power of 40-50 bhp could be used.
