Wiking 079730 – VW T1 sambabus “Hanseat”

Exploring the homeland was in vogue – and the Economic Miracle allowed travel groups to do exactly that. Travel vehicles such as the VW samba bus served as somewhat of a partner to the tourist industry and, as such, was naturally given its own name of endearment and almost considered to be its own person. The name “Hanseat” clearly indicates, of course, that the prototype of the WIKING model performed its duties in Northern Germany, treating all travellers to an unforgettable time – and an abundance of sunlight – thanks to its ample glazing.
