The iconic layout of our shop eRail-Depot is out to be exhibited and for sale.
It measures 230x120x80cm and depicts a fictitious central European busy town scene.
The tram
A tram system dominates the lower part of the layout with a branchline connecting the upper part of the city and the castle.
The track layout is designed in a way to permit tram movement on any direction following the trafic, without changing the direction of the tram vehicle.
All track is handmade using Peco code75 rail. Power to the trams is supplied from the handmade overhead catenary, through 0,3mm copper contact wire.
10 points are operated by analogue switches and through MTB slow action motors.
The town
More than 30 buildings carefully modified and painted, form the townscape. Many of them have detailed interior scenes.
All buildings have added details and many photoetched parts for extra realism. Many narrow streets, cobbled paths and stairs connect the city neighbourhoods, the lower and upper level.
A river flows in the middle of the town which allowed us to build a small dock for boats and a fish market.
It is illuminated by more than 80 handmade street lamps and tiny lights while every effort has been made to deviate from a typical arrangement, using handmade elements for railings, walls, fences etc.
