Everybody knows them, the typical Austrian milk trains that roll accross the scenic landscape of the Ennstal valley. The trains composed of innumerable refrigerator cars, were mostly hauled by electric locomotives of the series 1245 and enjoyed it a lot to humm through the Austrian Alpine countryside. The small regional farmers delivered the milk in cans, which was then filled into the refrigerator cars at the intermediate stations.
