Loop module for digital systems (format-independent). Adjustment of polarity within the loop before entering the vehicle, therefore 100% short-circuit-free. With outside track occupancy detectors to monitor the interior of the terminal loop. Ready-built module (without case).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Principle of operation<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The enter and exit area of the terminal loop and the track section within the loop are monitored by three integrated occupancy detectors. A microcontroller on the circuit evaluates the messages of the track occupancy detectors and determines the direction and position of the locomotive. The microcontroller controls a relay that sets each “correct” polarity to the loop.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Can <\/span>NOT<\/strong> be used in combination with turntables.<\/span><\/p>\n

Externally guided track occupancy detectors<\/span><\/p>\n

The track occupancy detector that monitors the section within the loop is performed on the module to the outside and can be integrated into the rest of the system control. The electrical isolation of the track occupancy detector enables direct connection to s88 feedback.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In order to monitor the terminal loop with Railcom, the KSM-2 has a connection for a RailCom detector.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
